Whether you’re a morning person or night owl isn’t exactly up to you – your natural circadian rhythm decides that. We can’t help but think that morning people ended up with the better part of the deal, though: They’re chipper and awake at the crack of dawn and somehow magically cross five things off their to-do list before some of us are even able to groan and press snooze for the third time. We could whine about how it’s not fair – or we could find out their secrets. Choosing the latter sounded more productive, so we now show to you some tips to wake up early and still be productive:
Avoid drinking coffee, wine and eating chocolate before going to bed
You need 4 hours to fall into a deep sleep and restore strength. So, waking up during this time will reduce the quality of the rest of your sleep and make you feel tired in the morning.
One of the most causes of sleep disruption is the diet with some scientifically proven foods and beverages. That disrupts the digestive system and disrupt sleep. Coffee, wine and chocolate milk are good examples, so using these foods as far away as possible. It is best to eat after lunch, but if not, you should eat before 6 pm.
Go to the bathroom right before sleep
Although most of us go to the toilet before going to bed, many people will spend time reading, watching TV or playing games before falling asleep without going to the toilet. Our bladder can fill up slowly during this time that you don’t notice. This means you can wake up in the middle of the night by going to the toilet. Sleep will be interrupted and flickering. So, going to the bathroom right before bed will help you get deep sleep and not get tired the next morning.
Focus on the things that make you happy and interesting when you wake up
The feelings of stress and anxiety are often worse in the morning due to a combination of subconscious thinking that occurs during sleep and an increase in cortisol levels in the body. This can make us feel tired and lethargic even after a good night’s sleep. So to overcome it, you need to focus on what is related to this day. It can be a birthday, anniversary of a certain event in the family, or the day you plan to do what you love. Find out the reasons why you are more upset when you step into the new day.
Schedule morning exercise
Although you may wake up early and do not feel tired, this feeling will gradually disappear if not “nourished”. Therefore, you should practice morning exercise to improve your mood and achieve higher concentration.
The reason is that simple exercises like running help the brain release more chemicals and endorphins into the bloodstream. This can reduce the symptoms of stress, drowsiness, and even pain in some cases. The interesting thing is that morning practice also increases energy levels throughout the day as long as you focus on appropriate exercises and daily exercises.
Drink water as soon as you get up
According to researches, the way we moisturize our bodies when we wake up in the morning has a big impact on our mental state. You should start the day with a simple cup of water (before breakfast). That helps you quickly wake up and feel more agile.
For hot drinks with breakfast, avoid using coffee daily. This is the last way to stimulate the senses. Science proves that our bodies are becoming more and more familiar with the effects of caffeine. This means more and more you need to drink to achieve the end desired result.
Accordingly, you should just drink coffee occasionally and in case feeling particularly tired. You should choose other drinks such as fruit and tea.
Let get up early and be productive together!
