Men, we are all going to be frequently shaving throughout our long lives, and whether you like it or not, it is best to know a proper technique to get the cleanest, closest, and bloodless shave possible.

Shaving makes you look clean and more beautiful looking all around for men. Sure, you can go all-natural, but I like to keep a fresh-shaven face.

How to Shave

Do you want to look good, don’t you?

You have probably asked many times, “How to shave safely and properly”?

Shaving is an art. If this is the first time, you are shaving, or for the nth time, you also need to know the steps to shave safely and in less time.

Should shave when?

Men often enlist shaving after bathing in the evening. However, you should not shave at that time because the skin on the face at that time is both sensitive and not relaxing, so shaving will make you sorer and more likely to scratch. The best time to shave is in the early morning when you wake up.

Besides, you should shave before breakfast because chewing action when eating will push blood to the jaw area, around the lips and eyes. Therefore, shaving after eating will make it easier to bleed.

Should shave when.

PREPARATION

Choose the right razor:

Usually, when choosing a knife, you should rely on the roughness of the hairs, the texture of your skin, your preferred shaving method, and the characteristics that depend on each person. Particularly for people with a lot of beards but sensitive skin type, a multi-blade razor (3 blades, five blades) is the perfect choice for you.

An electric shaver is convenient and fast, does not take much time to prepare and can be used on sensitive skin. However, some people prefer to style with their beard, then choosing a portable razor is perfectly reasonable.

For those with dermatitis due to excessive shaving or being injured during shaving, can purchase a specially designed razor. When shaving, you should take care not to shave too close to the hair so that the beard does not fall into the newly shaved area and remember to take care of that area both before and after shaving using shaving gel and skincare products. , cosmetics for the treatment of another dermatitis.

If you have acne and do not need much shaving, you need to be more careful about picking and using a knife. You should soften the beard before shaving with soap and warm water and then cut slowly to avoid irritation.

PREPARATION

Prepare a clean and sharp razor:

Using a blunt and dirty knife is a significant cause of uncomfortable skin, prone to tripping when shaving for sensitive skin use only the very clean and sharp blade. Before and after shaving, you should use cold water to rinse the blade because hot water will cause the tongue to blunt quickly.

Pruning before shaving:

If your face has a dense density of beard growing, you should pay attention to trim the beard as short as possible. A quick solution for you is to use a trimmer. Do not try to shave the entire beard without pruning. It means that you create discomfort for yourself when you shave because when shaving is too thick and many will not be able to escape into the new skin. Shave, making the tongue quickly blunt.

Exfoliating when washing your face:

It is best to wash your face with a suitable cleanser to avoid infection and skin irritation. You should use a natural antiseptic and wash your face with warm water then dry with a clean look.

Use moisturizing oil:

Moisturizing oil provides the skin with a large amount of moisturizing essence, softens the skin to help lubricate shaving lines. You should pour a few drops of oil into the palm of your hand. Also, gently rub it on the surface to be shaved before applying warm towels and shaving cream. This way will make the skin softer when shaving to avoid scratching the face.

Exploit pores:

The most straightforward way is to soak a clean towel in warm water and apply it on the skin area to expand the pores. Be careful not to use water that is too hot, which will cause moisture loss.

Use a brush to apply shaving cream (if possible):

This can be a bit time-consuming and complicated. But it is excellent because applying this cream will increase the effectiveness of softening the beard and exfoliating. It also causes your beard to rise on the surface, so it will help you shave closer and cleaner.

Use moisturizers and leave on for a minute before applying creams, gels, and lathers. This way helps the cream, gel, foam diffuse better when shaving.

Be aware that glycerin creams or shaving gel can make your skin dry and irritated. It is best to use creams with natural ingredients or reliable products that have been tested for safety.

HOW TO SHAVE

Start shaving:

When you have completed the preparation steps, you should start cutting immediately before the pores shrink and dry skin reduces the elasticity. Then, the shave is clean, and you do not feel uncomfortable due to irritation.

Stretching the face skin:

When shaving, you should hold the knife with your dominant hand and the other side to stretch the skin to make the surface smooth and more natural to shave.

Shaving in the right direction:

Before you shave, you should determine the course of the beard. You can also learn by looking at the visible area or using your hands to and fro, before and after the beard feels for hidden areas. Place the blade almost parallel to your face and pull slowly in the direction of the beard.

Shaving each area:

Shave slowly, gently shave each small area a blade so that the beard can easily escape without irritation to the skin, shave cleaner. Then, you will save cum quite a bit of time to find the unshaven areas due to long shaving.

Shaving each area

Regularly clean the blade:

Wash the edge thoroughly before and after shaving, avoiding leaving any stubble and cream on the knife that will contaminate the sword and the spear to be dull faster.

Wash your face with warm water and check to see if all of the shavings is done.

You rub fingertips all your face. And, you will feel for areas are not clear, especially near nose and mouth.

Wash with cold water after shaving to seal pores and massage your face quickly. You can apply alcohol-based aftershave lotion to disinfect the skin. But if the alcohol content is too high, it will cause irritation and dry beard.
After shaving, you should apply a thin layer of lotion to both anti-inflammatory allergy on the skin surface, while protecting the healthy structure of the skin layer.

SKINCARE AFTER SHAVING

Wash your face thoroughly with cold water and wipe dry with a clean towel.

After shaving is finished, you should apply cold water to your face as soon as possible to tighten pores. Coldwater also works to stop bleeding and close the mouth of the wound if you accidentally scratch your face.

Use non-alcoholic ointment.

The ointment made from aloe vera or green tea will keep your skin from drying out and soothe your shaving wounds. Apply a small amount and apply a thin layer to newly shaved skin. Use natural products for smooth and healthy skin.

SKINCARE AFTER SHAVING

Rinse all shaving tools and store in a cool, dry place.

Keeping them clean is a way to keep you from getting infections the next time. Pay attention to changing your tongue when necessary, as a blunt blade can easily injure you.

For ordinary razors, make sure to rinse the blade with warm water and shake vigorously to remove excess water from the mower. Do not clean the razor or knock it into the sink to avoid damaging the sharp edge of the knife or deflecting the blade. Please store the mower in a safe place.

As for guys using a shaver, please pay attention to a few points:

When buying a shaver, do not ignore the accessories that come with you by carefully researching and choosing to buy the things you need: soap brushes, shampoos, shaving soaps in the form of bottles, spray bottle, tube. These make shaving smooth and painless while helping the shaver last longer.

Shave often.

Shave every 2 to 3 days because the beard will not grow thicker and you will gradually forget about shaving. Shaving also helps you to remove dead skin and prevent the growth of beards, especially you know how to take care of your skin after shaving.

Some Pieces of Advice:

  • To shave the neck, you should pull the skin down as much as possible. Therefore, it is super tight, and hair starts to stick out. You should not press the razor too much on the surface, but rather gently touch it, more like “grabbing” the pieces of hair with the razor blade. You do not shave too much in one spot, but rather do gentle strokes, usually after 2-3 times in one place would be more than enough.
  • If shaving a large area or multiple parts of your body, shave the parts with softer and lighter hair first. This way will give the coarser hair a little extra time to soak and soften.
  • Ensure you mix foam with plenty of warm water (as long as, of course, the foam doesn’t roll off); otherwise, the dry foam serves as a “brake” to the razor and does not soften the hair nearly as much as you would like.
  • Choose triple-blade razors. Four-blade razors severely impact precision for delicate areas such as below the nostrils.
  • Safety razors or straight razors are recommended for a close shave. But, they need more skill than disposable, multiple blades, and electric shavers.
  • When shaving with the razor, should not shave sideways.
  • Do not rush. Take your time and do it right.
  • Multi-blade razors irritate the skin more than single blade because the first blades pull the hairs instead of cutting.
  • A first-aid styptic pencil is an economical purchase to stop bleeding from nicks.
