Reuse containers and cans
Glasses of jars or cans of food are one of the most common household items in every home. After using those items, cleaning it completely is necessary, then you can dry it under the sunshine to kill all bacteria.
Glass jars or cans can be great containers for bulk pantry items, desk working organizers. You can use them in the kitchen to hold spices, beans or other kinds of food as long as you find it suitable.
Newspaper, magazines, and paper things
There are loads of way to reuse these household items. You read the newspaper every day and day by day the amount of paper in your home can be huge. Instead of throwing them away, you can take full advantage of it to wrap things like gifts, old furniture to keep dust away.
Old clothes
After years, your family can have many clothes that don’t wear anymore. You can give them for donation. Otherwise, it’s a good idea to reuse these household items. You would like to make them into cleaning-rags or to wrap breakables when moving. If you have skillful hands and sewing skills, turn old clothes into beautiful braided rugs or reusable dusters.
Plastic bags
Although we are recommended, restrict to use plastic bags, we have to bring it home sometimes. There are also tons of way to save these bags; you can use them in future shopping. Try to carry your bags while shopping is a useful way to reuse household items.
If you have some plants at home, plastic bags can keep them alive when you leave the town. Placing plastic bags around the plant can retain moisture and water longer.
Egg cartons
Egg cartons are not a typical household item in some areas. However, if you have many egg cartons, reuse them for this idea:
You can start seedlings for your garden by adding soil to each hole then putting seeds into them. If egg carton is made of wood pulp or recycled paper, you can plant the whole egg carton as it’ll biodegrade when in the ground.
Wine Corks
Don’t throw all the wine corks!
You can reuse it by making into a keychain to keep track of your keys if you are absent-minded.
Wine Cork can clean your scissors without cutting yourself and squeeze lemon juice over the blade.
Styrofoam
Styrofoam has a function to protect your goods while transporting.
You can reuse styrofoam to create stencils for painting for your child by cutting them into the shape you like.
