Cats are picky eaters that can peg and plead for our food while we’re eating. However, not all human food is good for our cat, and giving your cat any scraps is a bad practice. Because the cat is so small and the body structure of it is different from those of us, they need particular nutrients that keep them in good condition. Food that not specifically made for cats can affect their digestive system and lead to vomiting and poisoning. Here is some poisonous food to a cat that not good for your cat you should notice when feeding it next time.

Onions and garlic

A small amount of onion or garlic in some food will not be likely to harm your cat. But a considerable amount of garlic or onion is a kind of poisonous food to a cat. Onions have a substance that can break down a cat’s red blood cells, causing anemia. Moreover, garlic can lead to gastrointestinal upset for your cat.

Alcohol

If you accidentally leave a bottle of wine on a place that in your cat’s zone, he can be prone to consume them and make problems. All type of alcohol such as beer, liquor, wine is poisonous for cats and all of the pets.
According to studies, alcohol makes the same effect on the liver and brain of cats that it has on humans.

Caffeine food

Chocolate sounds tasty to all of us. But it’s a poisonous food to a cat ever, a considerable amount of caffeine can be fatal. If your cat eats caffeine food such as chocolate, dark or unsweetened chocolate, cocoa, it can lead to heart problems, muscle tremors, and seizures.

Grapes and raisins

If you a pet lover, you should give grapes to the blacklist food for your pets. Scientists said there are still many unknown toxic in grapes and raisins that you should not give it to cats in any amount. Grapes can harm the cat’s kidney, so it’s best to keep those fruits away from your cat zone.

Milk and dairy products

You may think all babies love milk, and so do the cats. This is a wrong thought though. Most of the cats are lactose-intolerant, which means milk or cheese is some kinds of poisonous food to a cat. Because the cat’s digestive system can’t process ingredients in dairy food, this can result in stomach upset, gassiness or vomiting.
If your cat loves milk, a small bowl of it may be fine for, twice a week, not every day. Or else, you can buy milk that made only for cats that helps the digestion of lactose.

Raw food

Not only raw food is not good for us, but also our cat. Raw meat, fish or egg can have bacteria that leads to a painful condition like pancreatitis from excessive fat. Moreover, raw fish contains an enzyme that destroys thiamine, one of the essential vitamins for your cat.

If you find your cat ate poisonous foods and has strange behaviors, take him to the nearest vet for advice. And keep in mind place that food out of reach of your cat.
